Sabio Systems Wins Federal Contracts to Supply IT Professionals to US Forest Service
Albuquerque, NM, (March 21, 2011)―In an era where federal contract spending has dipped for the first time in 13 years, Sabio Systems LLC, a New Mexico-based IT solutions and professional staffing services company, continues to develop and expand its reach into federal markets. In January, the company won two federal contracts to supply IT staffing solutions to the USDA US Forest Service. Each multi-million dollar award is for three years with options to renew.
The company will provide expert IT consultants who will analyze and evaluate the security and vulnerabilities of the US Forest Service’s information systems, while managing and improving the nationwide infrastructure of the agency through its Albuquerque-based field office. “The mission of this unit is to assure critical networking security policies and procedures are in place to prevent cyber attacks and intrusions from unwanted sources. This is part of a continuing program that Sabio is proud to be part of,” said Frank Quintana, federal solutions manager for Sabio Systems.
The Federal Solutions Group (FSG) of Sabio Systems, a division of Sabio Systems, LLC, will provide a regionally-based project team with a proven track record in solving the highly complex problems in each of the agency’s areas of information security, vulnerability, penetration and disaster recovery.
As a small business, Sabio Systems is able to move quickly to meet new federal requirements and deliver solutions using the latest technology at competitive prices. This flexibility has allowed Sabio Systems FSG to successfully negotiate its new GSA schedule 70 contract. Currently, Sabio provides IT staffing solutions to existing state procurement offices, while pursuing federal and Department of Defense contracts in the areas of information technology, MIS, software development, programming, database administration, engineering, planning, implementation and enterprise-wide business solutions.
“Winning these contracts at a time when the federal government has slashed professional and technical contracts by 10 percent demonstrates our commitment to excellence and our ability to consistently attract and retain the right talent that not only meets our clients technical needs but fit into the agency’s work culture,” said Nick Truyol, president of Sabio Systems.
Sabio Systems was awarded the two contracts as a sole source recipient of the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) program, which helps small and disadvantaged businesses develop and compete in the federal marketplace. The company is also designated as a minority owned and SDB certified small business under the Small Business Administration Act. With the continued growth in the IT industry, the future for Sabio Systems looks bright, indeed. “In the federal sector, the need for better infrastructure is apparent from the types of solicitations being seen on the federal contracting sites,” Truyol said. “Small emergent businesses are well positioned to provide just the solutions government agencies need to solve their security vulnerabilities and cyber threats,” he said.
Founded in 2006, Sabio Systems is a privately-held IT solutions and staffing services company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Its value lies in providing customized, innovative solutions in information technology, software applications development, project management and other professional services to the federal government and corporate clients. The company also provides professional and staffing and recruiting solutions on a contract, contract-to-hire and direct-placement option in the field of accounting, finance, engineering, information technology/MIS and office support. Sabio Systems is an 8(a), SDB Certified and holder of the GSA Schedule 70 for IT services.
